Stayin' Cool

This is from earlier this summer. We were at Uncle Doug's awesome work picnic at a really cool park in Eagle (which is by Meridian). It has a water park for little kids and a really fun playground. Aunt Nettie got me this swimming suit for my birthday! It's a two piece. I'm not smoking, although it does go along with my "tough girl" image here. I promise! It's a sucker I won in one of the kids' games. I want to go to this park again with my Daddy. He'd like it, too!

High Powered Cleaning

I decided that Mom is slacking on cleaning and needs a little help. So...I put on my safety goggles and went to work. I don't know why Mommy takes so long. You can swiffer AND vacuum at the same time and it cuts your time in half.
Mattie cheered me on from the sidelines. My vacuum makes noise, so I think she was confused.

Flying Visit to Portland

We went to Portland this weekend for Baby Royce's baby shower--He's coming at the beginning of September. We stayed at Uncle Pat's house. Even though we got there Friday night, had a busy day on Saturday, and left Sunday morning, we had a blast. This is me with Aunty Alison. I was getting very good at saying her name.
This is my new cousin, Addie. She belongs to Pat and Allison. She is about 5 months old and we have about the same attention span. I liked her kennel a lot. I think Mommy and Daddy are thinking about getting one for me!
Here's an updated picture of me with Daddy, Uncle Pat and Uncle Matt. They are funny guys. They are always trying to get me to like one of them more than the other--But...I love them both lots!
The next picture will have Baby Royce in it!
This was one of those examples of our attention spans being the same. :)

Diva In Training

Awhile ago, LaLa painted my toe nails. I was so impressed with the look, I went around telling everyone to look at my feet for a week. When she came tonight, I ran up to her and pointed to my toes and said "Nails? Please La La?" So...LaLa found some and gave me a little spa treatment. Mommy was impressed that I was able to sit that long. My fingernails will have to wait until tomorrow.
I helped out by blowing to get my nails dry.

Sport'n Mama's Shoes

After my bath, Mommy took her shoes and socks off, so I decided to try them out. It was a bit awkward, but I thought I was pretty cool.
These babies are BOATS! I had to get a good, strong base just to stay afloat!
Maybe they're skis. All I need is a rope hooked to Mattie and Jeter and away I'll go!

Before I fell on my face, I had to stop and attempt to tie a shoe.

Ridin' My New Barbie Hog

I think Grandma and Grandpa are missing me lots, so I thought I better have Mommy put some more pics of me up. This is my Barbie Hog. For some reason, I like to sit on it with the seat up, rather than storing things in it. I can't quite reach the pedals, so I just scoot myself around with my feet.

4th of July Camping with a Special Guest

Max had the most mosquito bites out of all of us. He must be the sweetest!
I liked the privacy of our campground. I wonder if any of the 4 wheelers thought we were having a nudist colony?
Mommy, Daddy, and I went for a hike on Thursday morning. All of a sudden, Daddy said, "Dana, there's a big, brown bear." Mommy couldn't remember what you were supposed to do--climb a tree or walk away slowly. :) Daddy said we would just walk away slowly. At that time, I spotted the big bear and started to roar loudly! Mommy and Daddy always ask me what a bear says, so when I saw it, I naturally tried to talk to it. The bear looked at us, but was involved in his eating, so he didn't seem to care that we watched him. Mommy called Grandpa to tell him and told him that it was up to him whether or not to disclose the information to Grandma. She tends to worry.
Daddy wanted Mommy to go and get him a tag, but the season doesn't open until later this summer. Mommy went into town on Thursday afternoon to get Danette, so Daddy told her to grab his gun and pistol just in case the bear decided to come into camp or if we snuck up on it unexpectedly. Mommy came back with a pistol, a shot gun, and a variety of bullets because she didn't know what went with what. Daddy said that Mommy needs to learn the difference between a shot gun which will just make a bear mad and a rifle which could really help us out. Luckily, but a little disappointedly, we never saw the bear again.

4th of July Camping

Lala, Daddy, Mommy, and I went for a walk and discovered this old mine.
I LOVED eating camping food. I like wearing my rubber boots in the creek, too.
Jeter is so sweet.
Mommy brought activities for us to do. Here we are painting rocks. Later, we added googly eyes to them to create animals.
Our rock painting turned into body art. It was fun until we washed it off in the COLD creek!
