On August 1st, we took part in Relay for Life at the high school track. We had lots of fun and it was beautiful! The town raised over $80,000 for cancer research. This is right before the lighting of the luminaries. I had a glow stick and was swinging it around.
Mommy and Daddy couldn't quite figure out the camera when it was so dark. Luminaries were spread around the entire track to remember those who didn't beat cancer and those who conquered it. It was beautiful and difficult to describe unless you were there!
This was taken when it was getting late into the night before Daddy took me home. Mommy followed later. We didn't stay at the track because Daddy and his clinic had a race to earn money for the Shriner's Hospital the next morning.
LaLa joined us this year, too. I think she'll come back next year.
